Trenton – The Trenton Downtown Association is seeking volunteers for our 2017 Levitt Amp Trenton Music Series, running from June 29th through August 31st from  5-8pm in Historic Mill Hill Park!

Trenton has been awarded the Levitt Amp Grant for the third consecutive year!  The Levitt Foundation grant, along with matching donations from our sponsors New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Group and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, allows the TDA to host this FREE summer concert series in the heart of downtown Trenton. We have made significant changes to the location, day and time this year, and we are excited.  The series location is now in Historic Mill Hill Park, located at 165 E. Front Street.  The series is now held on Thursdays from 5pm-8pm.  We are also excited for the addition of food vendors to the series.

We are looking for volunteers to come be a part of a fantastic community event.  Volunteer duties include greeters, working informative tables, wayfinding and assisting artists and production tasks.

We also need volunteers to help us promote the series at this year’s Art All Night starting at 3pm on Saturday, June 17th and ending 3pm Sunday, June 18th.

Register at http://concerts.levittamp.org/volunteer_trenton to become a volunteer!  For all inquiries, please contact Meaghan Singletary, meaghan@trenton-downtown.com or 609.393.8998, ext. 306.  For more information about the Levitt Amp Trenton Music Series, visit http://concerts.levittamp.org/trenton.

About Levitt AMP Trenton Music Series

On January 5th, 2017, the Mortimer and Mimi Levitt Foundation announced the Trenton Downtown Association was awarded a Levitt AMP [Your City] Grant in the amount of $25k to host another free summer concert series.  In a voting competition between 52 city applicants, Trenton was selected as one of 15 to receive funding.  This is the third consecutive year that Trenton qualified for the grant.  You can learn more about the grant at http://www.levittamp.org.

The Mortimer & Mimi Levitt Foundation is a private foundation that exists to strengthen the social fabric of America. Through its support of creative placemaking, the Levitt Foundation empowers communities to transform neglected public spaces into welcoming destinations where the power of free, live music brings people together and invigorates community life. The Foundation’s primary funding areas include permanent Levitt venues and the Levitt AMP [Your City] Grant Awards, an annual grants competition. During the past decade, the Foundation has awarded more than $18 million in grants to support access to free high caliber live music experiences while bringing new life to underused public spaces.

The Levitt network of permanent outdoor music venues and AMP concert sites collectively serves more than half a million people annually through 450+ free, family-friendly concerts in 22 towns and cities. As an example of the high caliber talent presented across the Levitt network, the 2017 GRAMMY nominees includes 25 artists who have performed on Levitt stages in recent years.
