Archer Promotes Three Attorneys to Partner

Archer P.C. has promoted three attorneys to Partner, firm President Christopher R. Gibson and Chairman James H. Carll announced. Attorneys Maureen Coghlan, Sarah Gribbin and Amy Kearney have been promoted to Partner. The promotions took effect on October 1.

The new Partners were previously Associates with Archer, one of the region’s largest law firms. They concentrate in a variety of legal practice areas and are based in the firm’s Haddonfield office.

Maureen Coghlan specializes in complex civil litigation with an emphasis on contract disputes, environmental, and condemnation/eminent domain matters. She currently devotes a substantial part of her practice to defending multi-party cost recovery/contribution actions, toxic tort lawsuits, and contractual disputes over environmental liabilities. Ms. Coghlan defends clients in enforcement actions under a variety of federal and state environmental statutes. She also represents clients with respect to the condemnation of property through eminent domain in federal and state court.

Sarah Gribbin focuses on multi-party litigation and environmental law in major environmental cases in the state and federal courts. She has experience in complex litigation involving environmental issues of soil and groundwater contamination under common law theories and various spill fund legislation, as well as issues of property damage and physical injury as a result of alleged contaminant exposure. Ms. Gribbin has worked on matters involving New Jersey’s Spill Compensation and Control Act liability, site remediation, private cost recovery, environmental aspects of transactions, as well as natural resource damages.

Amy Kearney counsels clients on all aspects of the acquisition, disposition, development, financing and leasing of commercial, industrial, residential and mixed-use real estate. She represents both lenders and borrowers in acquisition, refinance and construction loans involving commercial real estate collateral. Ms. Kearney also regularly represents landlords and tenants in the negotiation and documentation of real estate leases of office, warehouse, shopping center and retail space.
