Hamilton Township Mayor Kelly Yaede invites residents to celebrate the legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., on Thursday, January 12, 2017, at Hamilton Township’s 14th Annual Tribute to Dr. King.

The tribute will take place at Faith Baptist Church (located at 2111 Kuser Road in Hamilton) beginning at 7 PM.  Admission to the ceremony is free. 

“Dr. King’s commitment to equality and justice continues to inspire us all,” says Mayor Kelly Yaede.  “I invite our entire community to join us for our annual tribute to Dr. King.”

The annual Hamilton Township program will include remarks from Mayor Kelly Yaede and Pastor Lance Walker of Faith Baptist Church, several musical performances, a keynote address by Kevin Willis, President of the John O. Wilson Neighborhood Service Center Board of Directors, the awarding of the Hamilton Dr. King Spirit of Community Service Award to Hamilton Township Police Sergeant Quincy Hendrix, the awarding of Dr. King Community Service Scholarships to Hamilton High School West students Ameerah Flowers and Amanda Sensi and a candle lighting ceremony with the participation of Faith Baptist Church and Kingdom Church.

Hamilton Township expresses a special thanks to event co-sponsors the CYO Bromley Neighborhood Center and the J.O. Wilson Neighborhood Service Center, as well as Faith Baptist Church, which graciously hosts the ceremony.
