Hamilton, NJ – July 31, 2017 – Diana Zita, Hamilton Area YMCA’s interim CEO was named the organization’s permanent leader this week. The appointment comes after Zita has led the organization over the last six months. Zita has been at the Hamilton Area YMCA for over 7 years, formerly in the position of CFO where she worked to ensure the organization’s fiscal health and future security. This appointment makes Zita the first female CEO in the organization’s 66-year history.
Speaking on behalf of the Board of Directors, Chairman John Cimino, said “The Board is very excited to work with Diana in her new role. Her leadership, dedication and commitment to the Hamilton Area YMCA positions the organization for continued growth and success.” Under the Board’s direction, Diana will continue to foster the Hamilton Area YMCA’s mission through vital programs and services that promote Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility, many of which are offered at low or no cost.

About Diana Zita:
Diana Zita is a born and raised Hamiltonian. A graduate of McCorristin High School, she went on to study accounting at Manhattan College. After passing the CPA, she proceeded to work in the fast paced wall street environments at DLJ and Lehman Brothers in New York. Expanding her career, Diana worked for a utility company and a Fortune 500 as a Corporate Treasury Manager. After starting her family, she shifted her gaze back to her hometown with an aim to make a difference in the non-profit sector. Diana has called the Hamilton Area YMCA home for the last seven years as the organization’s CFO. An active member of the community, she sits on the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Board and the Office of Minority and Multicultural Health Advisory Commission. An avid concert-goer, and outdoor enthusiast, Diana resides in Yardville, with her two children.
