Legacy Treatment Services Opens Inaugural Facility in Middlesex Co.

Legacy Treatment Services is responding to Middlesex County’s need for individualized, accessible mental health care and addiction services with a new Outpatient Facility in Monmouth Junction.

Local public officials, including Assemblyman Roy Freiman, D-16 and Mayor David Fried of Robbinsville, joined Roy Leitstein, CEO of Legacy Treatment Services and members of the Legacy Treatment Services Board of Trustees for a ribbon cutting ceremony at the new location. Guests also attended an Open House to tour the new facility and meet staff. The new facility provides evidence-based treatment and counseling in a local setting, including programs such as motivational interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma CBT, illness management and recovery, structured family therapy and more. These professional services are available to individuals, families, couples and group sessions.

“We saw a need in Middlesex County for the same patient-centered mental health care we provide in our Burlington County locations, so it was a natural step for us to open an outpatient facility in Monmouth Junction,” said Leitstein. “Now our 200-plus combined years of experience in health care are available just around the corner for Middlesex County residents.”

Legacy opened the Monmouth Junction facility in order to provide stellar, patient-centered, individualized treatment to a community in need. According to a recent report from the National Survey on Drug Use and Health, just under 11 percent of individuals who need treatment for a substance use or dependency concern actually receive it.

“This is a time of great growth and progress for Legacy Treatment Services,” Leitstein said. “We are proud of the individualized care this new facility will provide for our clients, and we are excited to be able to further our mission: to change the behavioral health and social service outcomes for people of all ages from surviving to thriving.”

The new Monmouth Junction Outpatient Facility is located at 68 Culver Road. Hours are Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. For more information, or to learn more about the services offered by Legacy Treatment Services, call 1-800-433-7365 or visit legacytreatment.org.
