The MIDJersey Chamber of Commerce, the oldest Chamber of Commerce in New Jersey, announced today the appointment of Michael A. Cano, AIF, as the Interim President, effective immediately.

“Our Chamber is deeply grateful to Michael for his leadership and his commitment to our organization,” said Jeannine Cimino, SVP, Regional Operations Leader at Berkshire Bank, and Chairman of the Board for the MIDJersey Chamber. “Michael has years of leadership experience with the Chamber, from his roles on the Membership and Finance Committees, and of course as a past Chairman. The Board is confident in his ability and excited to begin the next chapter for the Chamber.”

The announcement comes after the annual Board of Directors Retreat, where support for Michael’s appointment was unanimous.  Michael becomes the first Hispanic to accept a leadership role for the MIDJersey Chamber.

“I’m truly honored to have the backing of the Board of Directors to lead our Chamber in this role,” Michael said. “I look forward to working together with our chairman, Jeannine Cimino, on continuing to build on the great momentum we have at the MIDJersey Chamber.”

Michael is the founder and principal of Cano Wealth Strategies, LLC where he focuses exclusively on wealth management for professionals and their families. He is a board member and Treasurer for HISPA, Hispanics Inspiring Student Performance and Achievement.
