Archer attorney Richard J. Ramones will receive the 2017 Recent Graduate Award at the upcoming Annual Distinguished Alumni Awards Ceremony, presented by the Rutgers School of Law Alumni Association.
Mr. Ramones earned his law degree from Rutgers-Camden in 2011. The Recent Graduate Award recognizes an individual who has graduated within the past 10 years, based on professional accomplishments, contributions to the community and commitment to the law school. The awards event takes place November 30 at the Rutgers Student Center, Camden Campus.
A member of Archer’s Environmental Law Practice Group, Mr. Ramones concentrates on litigation in state and federal courts, including complex commercial litigation, toxic tort/environmental litigation and litigation related to personal injury claims. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
Mr. Ramones currently holds several leadership positions with professional and civic organizations. He serves as co-chair of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association’s (NAPABA) Energy, Environment, and Sustainability Committee; as a Member of the Board of Directors for the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Pennsylvania (APABA-PA); and he is a former member of the Board of Directors for the Asian Pacific American Lawyers Association of New Jersey (APALA-NJ). Also recently, he was elected to serve as a Council Member for the Philippine Community of Southern New Jersey, Inc. (PCSNJ).
Mr. Ramones also previously served as a Board Member for the Rutgers School of Law’s Recent Graduate Council, and in 2013 was awarded the Distinguished Community Service Award from the Rutgers School of Law’s Asian Pacific American Law Student Association in Camden.
