On October 13, the Board of Directors of Trenton Country Club (TCC) will host a Commemorative Flag Dedication Ceremony to kick off a celebration weekend in honor of the club’s 120th Anniversary. Local elected dignitaries, museum officials, officers of historical societies in Ewing, Trenton, Hamilton and Princeton and other VIP’s, including descendants of TCC’s founding fathers, will be invited to attend the ceremony and preview a special display, “Trenton Country Club: A History in Headlines”. The timeline display, based on historical newspaper archives, tells stories of the club’s inception, its founding fathers, and how the club was impacted during significant moments in American history, including WWI , WWII, prohibition and more.

In addition to honoring the club’s storied history, the Board of Directors will also provide guests with a glimpse into the future of TCC. Plans for Phase 1 of a multi-million dollar renovation project will be unveiled as part of the ceremony. The project will touch all areas the facilities—the clubhouse, golf course, tennis courts and pool. TCC has recently approved a plan presented by  Judd Brown Design and Jefferson Group Architecture, partners whose other private club clients include Baltusrol Golf Club, Canoe Brook Country Club, North Jersey Country Club, Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club, Maplewood Country Club and The Nassau Club.

The month of October is significant in that it was October of 1897 that Trenton Country Club was incorporated. The Commemorative Flag Dedication Ceremony will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, October 13. A reception in the clubhouse will follow. The membership of

TCC will celebrate the 120th Anniversary and view the timeline at a gala on Saturday, October 14 at 6:00 p.m. Lifetime members (members for 50+ years) will be acknowledged as part of the evening’s festivities.

The following week, the City of Trenton will recognize Trenton Country Club during the 24th Annual Trenton Business Week on October 18. TCC is among a group of businesses that will be honored at  “A Century of Success” luncheon at the historic Masonic Temple for their service to the Trenton area for over 100 years.
