LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ; June 1, 2017 – United Way of Greater Mercer County (UWGMC), a nonprofit organization that improves the financial stability, self-sufficiency, and health of Mercer County residents, announced recently that Rita Ribeiro will join the board of directors of the organization.
Ms. Ribeiro is the Senior Director, Marketing & Communications of Publicis Health, one of the largest healthcare communications networks in the world and a division of Publicis Groupe S.A., a global advertising and media company.
Prior to Publicis Health, Rita spent 18 years in Marketing and Sales roles in the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device industries located in CT, IL and NJ. Ms. Ribeiro holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from Post University, CT as well as a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from Pace Lubin School of Business, NY and Certificate in Strategic Marketing from Columbia University, NY.
Ms. Ribeiro is a long standing member of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association and serves as volunteer Marketing Director for its NY/NJ regional mentoring program. She is also a member of Prospanica (formerly National Hispanic MBA Association) and is involved with the Association of National Advertisers and National Society of Hispanic Professionals.
Rita served as chair and vice-chair of United Way employee giving campaigns in multiple organizations across three states and encouraged employees to be involved in their local United Way. Rita resides in NJ with her family and rescued dogs and they enjoy exploring the natural diversity the state provides from scenic sea shores to the mountains and forests along the Appalachian Trail.
